RRUMC is pleased to introduce our new Youth Director and contemporary worship leader, Nate Montgomery. Nate was born in Dalton, Georgia, and lived in Valdosta, Georgia, for seven years where he finished high school. He moved to Alaska in his early 20’s and lived there for 11 years. He is married to Jen Otey of Wytheville, Virginia, whom he met in Alaska. They have one son together, Oscar (11), and Nate has two children from a previous marriage, Azlan (17) and Shanti (16). Nate earned a B.S. in Theology and Bible from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. He has played music since he began drum lessons at age 10 and continues to play drums, bass, and guitar. He is excited to be a part of the Rural Retreat Community and is thankful to RRUMC for welcoming him in and offering him this opportunity.
